LAWRENCEBURG -Elizabeth Ann Davenport Gritton, 72, of 526 Riverside Drive, Har-rodsburg, formerly of Lawrenceburg, died at 1:25 a.m. Thursday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, after an illness.

Born Dec. 11, 1913, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Addis and Sue Mae Robinson Davenport.

She was a schoolteacher in Kentucky and Maryland and was a member of Harrodsburg United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Claude S. Gritton; a daughter, Iris June Gritton Rizzo of Crofton, Md.; a brother, Robert A. Davenport of Lexington; and four grandchildren. The funeral was held today at Gash Memorial Chapel, Lawrenceburg, by the Rev. Elgin Emmons. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
