PROMINENT NEW CARLISLE RESIDENT DIES SUDDENLY - A. P. Mitchell, aged 75 years, a prominent resident of New Carlisle, dropped dead at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday from heart disease. He had not been ill, and his death will come as a severe shock to his friends and relatives.
Mr. Mitchell was a member of Mitchell Post, G.A.R, of Springfield, this post having been named in honor of his brother [James Anderson Mitchell]. He had been a resident of New Carlisle for years, and had a wide acquaintanceship. He was on the road for a number of years as a representative of a foreign concern. At one time he represented a nursery.
He is survived by his wife, one son, Earl, of New Carlisle, and one daughter, Mrs. Jessie Smith of Columbus.
The arrangements for the funeral will be announced later.
