Rupert Rites for
Mrs. H. L. Cooke

     RUPERT, July 2 Funeral services were held at the Methodist church here Monday afternoon for Mrs. Edith Matella Brock Cooke, wife of Homer L. Cooke and former Twin Falls resident and one time teacher at Declo, who died last Friday.
     Services were conducted by Rev. Albert Parrett. Mrs. Fred Scheupbach sang two numbers, "Face to Face" and "Sometime We'll Understand," with accompaniment at the organ by Mrs. Louise Boydston.
     Pallbearers were Real Neilson, Tom Maberly, L. A. French, R. D. Armstrong, M. E. Willis and Lee Parker.
     Burial was in the Twin Falls cemetery.
     Born at Scranton, Ia., Jan. 25, 1887, Mrs. Cooke taught school in Iowa and South Dakota before her marriage in June, 1915, to Mr. Cooke at Fonda, Ia. They established their home in Twin Falls and later came to Rupert. Thereafter she was graduated from the Albion State Normal school and taught two years in Declo schools.
     She was a member of the Methodist church and of the Evening Star Rebekah lodge.
     She is survived by her husband and two children, Mrs. Mary Virginia Geesey of American Falls and Frank Cooke of Fairfield, and one granddaughter. She leaves also her mother, Mrs. Jennie Brock, and four sisters, Miss Mettie E. Brock, Mrs. Madge Bridgman of Boise, Mrs. Retta Weaver of Sumner, Wash., and Mrs Della Thomas of Long Beach, Calif.
