Sharon was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia to Joseph Bosanec and Mary Margaret Barbina. She graduated from Notre Dame Catholic High School in Clarksburg in 1964.

Sharon was married to Thomas F. Rokisky on June 29, 1968 in Clarksburg, and they had three children.

With her loving husband at her side, Sharon Sue Rokisky, age 70, entered eternal rest at her home in Sunset Beach, North Carolina on October 29, 2016 following an extended illness.

Sharon was born in Clarksburg, W.Va., on August 5, 1946 to Joseph and Mary Bosanec.

A 1964 graduate of Notre Dame High School, Sharon married her high school sweetheart, Thomas F. Rokisky, on June 29, 1968. She was a graduate of the Morgantown Beauty Academy. Sharon was an active member of the League for Service in Clarksburg and a member of the Holy Rosary and Immaculate Conception Catholic Churches. She and Tom resided in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., before moving to Sunset Beach, North Carolina in 2013.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 48 years, Thomas F. Rokisky, and two children, Krista Renee and husband, Scott Henderson, of Clarksburg, and Joseph “Jody” and wife, Kerri (Harman) Rokisky, of New Market, Maryland. Sharon was the loving “Nanie” to four grandchildren, Andrew Scott and Kalie Brooke Henderson of Clarksburg and Cameron Jay and Chase Alexander Rokisky of New Market, Maryland. She is survived by one sister, Shirley Ann Bosanec, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; sister-in-law, Barbara Roman, of St. Albans; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Tonya Renee Rokisky, on July 23, 1969; her parents, Joseph and Mary Margaret (Barbino) Bosanec; sister, Sarah “Weezie” Rymasz; her loving in-laws, Frank and Mildred Rokisky, all from Clarksburg; and brother-in-law Lew “GeGee” Roman of St. Albans.

Sharon was a loving wife and mother. She adored her grandchildren and they adored her. For the past three years, Sharon loved the beach and would tell you these were the best days of her life. The family will cherish the many beautiful memories created with such a special wife, mother and Nanie. Sharon will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or your local Hospice.

Family and friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 E. Main Street, Clarksburg, W.Va., on Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 3 until 8 p.m. A Vigil Service will begin at 7:30 on Thursday evening. Catholic Funeral Rites will be celebrated on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
