ALBANY Harry E. Hoeltzel Jr, 56, passed away June 7, 2003 at the Albany VA Hospital after a lengthy illness from diabetes. Loving son of Harold and Louise Hoeltzel.Harry was a lifelong resident of Albany and was educated in the Albany School system. In 1965, he enlisted in the Marine Corp. and served his country in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1967 and was the recipient of the Purple Heart with cluster. Crazy Harry led a full life and made many friends over the years. He worked various jobs, including heavy equipment operator, tractor trailer driver, bouncer on the Latham strip and as a police officer for the Town of Athens. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, flying his plane and driving fast cars and boats. Harry loved an audience and telling stories of his early exploits. He is survived his ex-wife, Nancy Onyon and son Kevin Hoeltzel; and ex-wife, Linda L Tharp, daughter Laurie Hoeltzel and sons Shane and Michael Hoeltzel. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry E Sr and Louise Lucille (Loudis)Hoeltzel.

Harry was born Frank John Brothers Jr., Son of Frank J(ID # 161110463) & Bessie E(ID# 161110131) Brothers.. He was adopted by Harold E. & Louise L. Hoeltzel as a very young child. He is survived by his birth sisters & brothers, Tina (Robinson), Lee, Jeffrey, Frank III, John, Deborah(Parker- Johnston), Chris Brothers.
He predeceased his birth brother Frank J. Brothers III. (ID# 193010152).
