Heidi Ann Miller

Heidi Ann Miller, 23, of 1323 Millington, Winfield, died on April 29th as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident near Drumright, Oklahoma.
Born on March 30, 1962 at St. Charles, Illinois, she was the daughter Ralph and Nancy Stendtrom Miller. She was raised in Winfield and graduated in the top 10 percent of the Winfield High School Class of 1980.
A senior journalism/public relations major at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, she was to receive her B.S. in Journalism this month.
Miss Miller had served as chairperson of the ethics and public and alumni relations committees and was chaplain for Phi Mu Sorority. She also participated in tennis, basketball, football and softball as intermural sports. She was a member of the University Heights Baptist Church in Stillwater, Campus Crusade for Christ and the Public Relations Student Society of America. She served as student speaker for the O.S.U. Daily O’Collegian newspaper, writer of nursing home news for the Stillwater News Press and Kappa Sigma Fraternity Little Sister.
Miss Miller had been employed on the Miller Family Ranch and self-employed as a private tennis instructor.
Survivors include her parents of 1323 Millington, a brother Stenn, of Winfield; a sister Mrs. Gene (Gretchen) Reed, of Emporia; and her grandparents, Paul and Violet Stenstrom, of 1618 Simpson.
Memorial services will be held at 3:30 pm Friday in the Winfield High School auditorium, and private committal services will be held in Tisdale Cemetery. Miles Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. The casket will remain closed at all times.
Memorials have been established with the Bill Gothard Institute for Basic Youth Conflicts in Oakbrook, Illinois and with the Winfield Public Library.
