Her father put her 3 older sister in an institution for the feeble minded in Franklin County, Ohio and her brother Willie in a boys home--her youngest brother who was a baby at this time was adopted by her paternal aunt, Maggie --do not know what happened to Helen at this time. Around 1918 her father Rucker Edward Davis went to LaSalle County, Illinois where he died in 1928. Cannot find her in the 1920 census. Hazel Helen was living in Chicago, Illinois, in 1930 with her sister, Ada Myrtle Bannister and her family. Helen married her first husband, Herman Higgins, on September 13, 1944, in Cook County, Illinois. She moved west to Los Angeles, where her sister, Ada Myrtle Bannister, was living. Hazel Helen died on April 2, 1991, in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 80. Do not have info on her husband, Herman Higgins.
