Son of George A. and Alice (Salero) Deasy, George served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He owned Deasy Sand and Gravel in Sacramento for thirty years. For five years he was employed by the state of California as a computer programmer. For 18 years he was a building inspector for Coupeville.

He was survived by his wife, Ethel June Deasy; his children, George D., Douglas L., David J., and Cindy S.; his brother, William Douglas Deasy; and his sister, Nancy Arnold. His daughter Carol preceded him in death.
