She went to Lockyear’s Business College for 1 ½ years in the Executive Secretarial Program. Upon completion she accepted a job at the Methodist Hospital, a branch of Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana in the laboratory. Later she became a Registered Medical Records Librarian where she set up a second medical records unit in the LaRue Carter Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital in Indianapolis. Later she worked in the Inspector’s Office of the United States Postal Service when she retired. She attended the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield.
Deborah was born November 21, 1915 in Grayville, Illinois to John W. Broster and Alice Jesop.
Survivors include a sister, Wanda Triggs of Fairfield, Illinois; 3 nephews, Fred Triggs and his wife Raelene of Geff, Florida, Tim Triggs of Fairfield, Illinois, and Jim Triggs of Fairfield, Illinois; as well as several great-nieces an and nephews.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, and 3 sisters.
Graveside services for Deborah A. Broster will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville, Illinois with Pastor Donna Blythe officiating.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield, Illinois.
