Rebecca “Beckie” Inez Briggs, 65, of New Boston died Wed, Dec. 8, 2010, at her home. Mrs. Briggs was born Sept. 28, 1945, in West Carroll Parish, La. She was a homemaker and a Christian.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Briggs of New Boston; one son, James Johnson Jr. of MS; two daughters and one son-in-law, Vickie Cox of New Boston and Geneva Fulgium and Shannon Thetford of New Boston; one sister, Vernie Jones of West Monroe, La.; 11 grandchildren; 7 g-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Ringwood Cemetery with James Tankersley officiating. Burial will be under direction of Comforter Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
