Services for Paul F. Whiteside, 73, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at George A. Smith and Sons' Main Street Chapel with Dr. Bill F. Riley officiating. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Cemetery. Paul, who retired in 1973 as manager of Ryder Freight Line, died Monday night at his home apparently from a heart attack. . He was a lifelong resident of Madison County, the son of the late John and Mary Inman Whiteside, and a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church. He and his wife, Vivian, had celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary Aug. 13.
