Funeral services for Mrs. Iris Lee Martin will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016 in Glenmora Church of Christ with Brother Justin Simmons and Brother Charles Seal officiating. Interment will follow in Butter Cemetery, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Mrs. Martin, 89, of Glenmora, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 in her residence with her loving family by her side.

She was a longtime member of Glenmora Church of Christ and she loved tending to her vegetable garden with her sisters-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wyatt and Jessie Polk; her husband of sixty-one years, Matt A. Martin, Sr.; one brother, Elmer Polk and three sisters, Amelia Johnson, Eloise McAdams and Doris Polk.

Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her son, Matt A. Martin, Jr. and his wife, Sarah, of Glenmora; her daughter, Carol Jean Fuller and her husband, D.D., of Glenmora; two brothers, Donald Polk, of Glenmora and Ivan Lee Polk, of Glenmora; nine grandchildren, Michael Fuller and his wife, Michelle, Matt A. Martin, III, Dennis Fuller and his wife, Kelly, Jeremy Martin, Casey Fuller and his wife, Jessie, John Martin and his wife, Hope, Jennifer Morrison and her husband, Thomas, Justin Fuller and Aaron Martin; fifteen great-grandchildren, Tayler, Matt IV, Kimber, Jamie, Carrie, Isaac, Hadley, Avery, Kallie, Greigh, Taylor, Gage, Jaycee, Byrce and Brylee and her loving niece, Stephanie Wall and her husband, Zack.

Friends may call Glenmora Church of Christ on Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Visitation will reopen on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

The family would like to express special thanks to Iris’s niece and nephew, Barbara Martin and Larry Martin, for always being there for her.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be her grandsons.
