Lillian Frances Barnes, 79, widow of Buddy Barnes, passed away Monday, October 31st at her home in Irvine after a long illness. Mrs. Barnes was a native of Estill County, a daughter of the late Elvie and Artie Harris Sams. She was a retired employee of Carhartt and a member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Jo, Johnny and Jimmy Sams; her sisters, Pauline Puckett, Imogene Williams and Wilma Billie Sams; and grandchild Olivia Freeman.

Survivors include her son, Buddy W. (and wife Robin) Barnes; her daughters, Paula Denise (and her husband Ricky) Elliott and Michele Renea (and husband Ezra) Freeman; her grandchildren, Shelby, Leslie and Brandy; her great grandchildren, Blake, Kaelynn, Ethan, Benton, Abby, Noah and Gabe; and her niece, Brenda Jarrell.

Services will be at the Lewis Funeral Home on Friday, November 4th at 1 pm. Burial will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call any time after 11 am on Friday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bud Tucker, Buck Walters, Ezra Freeman, Nelson Benton, Bud Barnes, and Russ Russ Barnes.
