Jerry Sanders Cordell was born December 18, 1941 in Kerens, Texas to Dora Elma (Ellison) and Milton Frank Cordell. Jerry left his earthly home to his heavenly reward on Sunday October 30, 2106. Jerry grew up in Kerens where he graduated from High School in 1960, and was a member of the Texas National Guard from 1960 to 1967. Jerry made a career in the Farm and Ranch Supply business until his retirement in 2008. Jerry married Glenda Joyce Paul on December 21, 1962 at the First Baptist Church in Kerens. To their marriage were born two daughters, Leanne and Melanie. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and sister Frances younger. He is survived his wife Glenda of Kaufman, Daughters: Leanne Day and husband Leland of Kaufman, Melanie Reynolds and husband Eric of Kaufman, Brother: Milton Earl Cordell of Colleyville, Sister: Elma Lea Crocker of Caddo Mills, 5 Grandchildren: Caleb Day of Kaufman, Christa Ross and husband Jarrett of Lubbock, Dylan Reynolds of Kaufman, Cordell Reynolds of Kaufman, Blake Reynolds of Kaufman, 1 Great-Grandson Aiden Ross of Lubbock. Jerry was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church of Kaufman, past member of the Kaufman Kiwanis Club and served as member of the Board of Directors of the Legacy Ag Credit in Sulphur Springs for 37 consecutive years.
