On February 24th, 1938 she was united in marriage to Hugh Argus Cantrell and to this union three children were born.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh on December 14th, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Mary Jo Cantrell; two sisters, Goldie Letsinger and Jesse Newton; two half-brothers, Roy and Ott Hensley; and two half sisters, Carrie Turner and Clara Dickinson.

Willie is survived by her son, Jim Cantrell and his wife Judy of Mansfield; her daughter Teresa Cantrell of Mansfield; a grandson, Jim Cantrell Jr. and his wife Beth of Springfield; two great-grandsons, Blayne and Josh Cantrell; many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Willie was born and raised near Mansfield, Missouri and attended schools while she was a girl. Willie and her family often attended Mission Temple for church and while she was still a young age she accepted our Lord and Savior into her life.

Once Willie came of age she met and fell in love with Hugh Cantrell and they were united in marriage. They would spend the next 55 wonderful years together. Willie would often frequent Lead Hill Free Will Baptist Church on Sundays, but during the week she was mostly a homemaker but would cook from time to time. She was also a member of the Wright County Historical Society.

During her free time, Willie would often sew quilts and embroider. She also loved to tend to her flowers and was excellent in the kitchen. If you ever caught Willie at home, you would most certainly see her with her dog.

Willie loved and enjoyed many things in her life, but none more than her family and dearest friends.

Willie was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. We celebrate her amazing life and will always cherish the many happy memories we have had with her.

Memorial donations to the Hensley Cemetery and the Wright County Historical Society, can be made through the Holman-Howe funeral home of Mansfield.
