Wanda Faye Duckworth, 76, of Center, Mo., passed away at 1:38 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.

Private burial will be at Salem Cemetery in rural Center, Mo.

The family is being served by the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, Mo.

Wanda's family will host Memorial Service for Wanda and Bud at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at Adiel Baptist Church in rural New London, Mo. Rev. Dustin Gilbert will officiate.

Wanda was born March 14, 1940, in Fulton, Ky., to Bill and Mary Burrow Graham.

She was married to Harmon "Bud" Willard Duckworth on June 24, 1957, in East St. Louis, Ill. He preceded her in death Oct. 1, 2016.

Survivors include four children, Harmon Duckworth, Jr., Ernie Duckworth (Diana), Richard Duckworth, and Nancy Bridgas (Abel); five grandchildren, Jason Duckworth, Melissa Reische (Matt), Jake Duckworth (Kayla), Megan Hathaway (Josh), and Jonathan Duckworth (Mallory), seven great-grandchildren and a special family friend, that was like a granddaughter to her, Stephanie Landers.

She is preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Lesa Marie, and three infant sons, William Marion, Henry Wallace and Thomas Aaron Duckworth and one brother, Ernest Graham.

Previously Wanda had worked at both Cerf Brothers in New London, Mo., and at Bobbie Brooks in Vandalia, Mo. In 1980 Wanda decorated her first cake for her son's wedding and from that day forward she has decorated thousands of cakes for her friends, family and neighbors. Along the way Wanda managed to be an outstanding saleswoman over the years. Selling everything from Avon to vacuums and fire alarms and even knives to raise money for new buses for O.A.T.S Transportation Services. Wanda had a knack for sales.

A caring spirit, Wanda was a strong woman that deeply loved her family. She particularly loved Christmas Eve gatherings at her house. Most of all Wanda simply loved the time she shared with her family and friends.

Over the years Wanda attended the Salem Baptist Church and was a member of Adiel Baptist Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Adiel Baptist Church for Church Missions in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
