CIMARRON - David K. Crump, 75, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, at his home in Cimarron.

He was born Feb. 17, 1931, in Lyons, to William E. and Kathryn S. Crandall Crump. The family lived in Hutchinson until moving to Lakin when he was in the eighth grade. He graduated from Lakin High School in 1948 and then attended Hutchinson Community College.

A lifelong resident of southwest Kansas, Mr. Crump retired as a banker and was also a partner in Banker's Express Inc. He was a member of First Christian Church of Lakin, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and coaching Little League baseball for several years.

On Feb. 3, 1950, he married Flo Bether in Hutchinson. She survives. Other survivors include four sons, William Crump of Huntsville, Ala., Daniel Crump of Brookville, James Crump of Great Bend, and Mark Crump of Pratt; three daughters, Debra Kendrick of Blanchard, Okla., and Kim Olinger and Robin McMillan, both of Montezuma; three brothers, John Crump of Lakin, Robert Crump of Indianapolis, and Richard Crump of Topeka; a sister, Jean Fleming of Horicon, Wis.; 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City, officiated by Jeff Mitchell, pastor. Burial will be in Lakin Cemetery.
