He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved the Lord and his family. He was a member of Avondale Church, former member of the Bean Station Volunteer Rescue Squad and Honorary member of the Rutledge Volunteer Fire Department and was an employee of the Grainger County School System for 14 years.
Dannie was preceded in death by his wife: Sandra Kay Lamb, parents: O.C. and Rosella Campbell Lamb and grandparents: Walter and Ruth Lamb.
He leaves his sons and daughters-in-law: Travis (Kim) Greene, Dannie Jr. (Krystal) Lamb and Dustin (Julia) Lamb. Grandchildren: Kierra Greene, Leah Lamb and James Lamb. Brother: Donnie (Linda) Lamb; sister: Melissa (Kevin) Longmire. Special aunts: Brenda Ball, Mary Owens, Ima Jean (James) Howerton and a close and dear friend: Debbie Greene and many other extended family members aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. And his beloved pet: Max.
Visitation with his family will be Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. J. C. Morgan, Rev. Scott Greene and Rev. Jim Dockins officiating. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Head of Richland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
