Karen A. Beers age 72, died peacefully on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the Larson House in Columbus with her family by her side. She was born on May 23, 1944 in Beaver Dam to Earl and Ella (Ruenger) Oliver. She graduated from Beaver Dam High School. She was married to Dennis R. Beers on December 29, 1962 at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Karen was formerly employed at Marlin Toy factory in Horicon for several years and after a few years as a homemaker, worked at the Fall River Foundry until her retirement in 2006. Karen loved Christmas very much and enjoyed spending it with her family and friends. She loved vacations with her husband, cardinals, puzzles, Elvis music and greatly enjoyed being in touch with everyone on her computer. She was a member of St. Jerome's Church in Columbus. Survivors include her three children Greg (Karla) Beers, Angela (Tom) Maloney and Michele Pasewald, all of Fall River; six grandchildren Chelsie (Cory) Ertz, Brandi Beers, Morgan and Cole Maloney, Haley and Brooke Pasewald; two step-granddaughters, Ashley Cutsforth and Heather Pasewald; one great granddaughter, Lilyian Cutsforth; one sister, Mabel Helmer of Beaver Dam; two sisters-in-law, Marge Beers of Oregon and Bonnie Sengele of Ohio; two brothers-in-law, Charles Hron and Leonard Neuman both of Beaver Dam; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and special friends known as the Mafia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Beers; her father, Earl Oliver; her mother and step-father, Merrit and Ella Rowe; two brothers, Sonny and Gary Oliver; five sisters, Ilene Oliver, Shirley Oliver, Mary Ellen Wallendahl, Marlene Neuman and Carol Hron; many other relatives. Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Jensen Funeral & Cremation, Columbus. Rev. Steve Kortendick officiated. Interment was in the Fall River Cemetery, Fall River. Visitation was from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home and from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Friday. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the charity of one's choice.
