OBITUARY: William James Beebe, July 25, 1920 - October 29, 2016 - reprinted from the Hill Funeral Home website

William James Beebe, 96, of Ellsworth, died Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Senior Preferred Living, Ellsworth, WI.

Bill was born on July, 25, 1920 the son of Hector and Leila (Boyer) Beebe. He married the love of his life Etta Krummel in May of 1948. Bill served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during WWII in the South Pacific Theater, Hawaii and throughout the U.S.

He was an avid reader, storyteller, and inventor who loved to play piano, make wood carvings, garden, cook and entertain.

Bill is survived by his children: David (Cynthia) Beebe, Susan (James) Olson, Lizbeth (Mark) Calvert, Philip (Char) Beebe, Daniel (Jennifer) Beebe, Lynette Beebe, John (Chris) Beebe, Anita Straub, and Charles (Kim) Beebe; 22 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and Siblings: Thomas, Ted and Donald Beebe, Evelyn (Clark) Holt, Mary Husfloen, Nancy (George) Verley.

Preceding Bill in death was his wife Etta in 2011, three children James, Carrie, and Neil and a grandson Colin and sisters Marie Beebe and Vivian Zumwald and brothers Jack and Dick Beebe.

A visitation will take place from 12:00 pm until time of services at 1:00 pm on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the Hill Funeral Home, Ellsworth, WI.

Full military honors were accorded him by Kinne-Englehart American Legion Post #204, Ellsworth.
