Benjamin Pritchard Dead.
Benjamin Pritchard, known to most Emporia people as "Uncle Ben Pritchard", died at is home south of town. Mr. Pritchard was 90 years of age. He ran a small truck farm, but for the last three or four years has been unable to do much work. He was the father of five children, and has been a resident of Kansas since 1872. He was born in North Carolina, and was married to Miss Rachel Robinson in July 1831. He moved to Indiana and later came to Kansas, where in Lyon county. the funeral services will be held from the Cottonwood church Monday morning at 11 o'clock, and the body will be interred in the Cottonwood cemetery. Rev. A.A. Bailey will have charge of the funeral services. Mr. Pritchard was a member of the Friends church.

The funeral services of uncle Bennie Pritchard were held at Cottonwood Monday at 11 o'clock a.m. Uncle Bennie (as he was usually called) was an old and highly respected citizen and well known throughout the entire community.
