Bette Jane Brown, 95, of Bremen, passed away peacefully at 12:15 pm, Sunday, October 30, 2016 in Signature Health Care of Bremen.

Bette was born on February 23, 1921 in Three Rivers, MI to Harvey C. and Mary E. (Weiandt) Burrow. She married William V. Brown, who passed away on November 18, 1983.

Bette is survived by two sons, Justin (Nancy) Brown of Pisgah Forest, NC and James (Ruth) Brown of Bremen; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Carolyn Burrow of Fredericksburg, VA.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters and two brothers.

She was the head of the Bremen School Cafeteria for many years. Bette was very active in the Bremen V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as Past President. She also attended Horizon Church.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm, Wednesday, November 2, 2016 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, October 3, 2016 in the funeral home with Pastor Jim Morse officiating. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery.
