Arthur R Deines

Arthur Raymond “Art” Deines, 82, of Loveland, died Oct 1, 2004.

He was born June 20, 1922, to William and Martha Deines of Fort Collins.

Mr. Deines, who was known as Art, grew up in Fort Collins and graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1940.

Shortly after his graduation, he joined the U.S. Army. He served active duty in World War II and was honorably discharged in 1945.

He came to Loveland to work as a carpenter for a construction company.

In 1964, he married Viola Wiedeman in Loveland.

After their marriage, Mr. Deines worked selling insurance for Met Life, then sold real estate for Strohs. After retiring from the insurance and real estate business, he worked security at Agilent.

He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 41, both in Loveland.

His hobbies included wood working, fishing and a love of all Colorado sports teams.

He is survived by his wife, Vi Deines of Loveland; son James Deines and wife Penny of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Jo Dusting of Berthoud; sisters, Eleanor Hirsch of Loveland and Marjorie Pratt of Fort Collins; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside inurnment will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct 5, 2004, at Resthaven Memory Gardens with the Rev. Ed Smith officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or VFW Post 41 in care of Allnutt Funeral Service-Hunter Chapel, 2100 N. Lincoln Ave., Loveland, 80538.
