Married: Second to Anna Geertruid (Grotenhuis) Wassink on Sept. 14, 1888, in Holland Twp., Sheboygan County, WI.

Married: Third to Johanna Berendina (Zwartenkot) Boom on July 24, 1896, in Cedar Grove, Sheboygan County, WI .

Arent was the son of Lammert Prange (1792-1827) and Gesina Snoeijenbosch (1781-1848). He arrived in New York City on Sept. 30, 1854, aboard the ship Leila.

He served in Company F, 27th Regiment Wisconsin Infantry during the Civil War.

Arent's Wisconsin State Death Registration shows that he died on May 10, 1903, in Holland Township; his tombstone shows that he died on May 11, 1903.
