Willie Mae Hyers, age 88, of Alma passed away peacefully at her residence Friday, July 12, 2019 after a short illness. Daughter of Will Henry Williams and Helen Dyal Williams born on October 4, 1930 in Bacon County. Her husband J Hugh Hyers, son Gene Hyers, three brothers Lindburg Williams, Jr. Williams and Troy Williams and three sisters Zona Chaplin, Vester Hilton and Pearl Williams preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hyers was Owner and Operator of Hyers Upholstery for 65 years, she was a member of Southside Church of God but had been attending Old Pine Grove Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children Jerry Hyers (Debra), Bill Hyers (Susan) and Connie Walton (Sammy) of Alma, daughter-in-law, Vicki Hyers Barber (Gene) of Kingsland, GA., nine grandchildren Hannah Dyal, Jenna Hutto, Abby Johnson, Ashlee Vickers, Chad Lee, Shelley Bentley, Chip Hyers, Trish Nipper and Lauren Lee and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 14, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Southside Church of God with Pastor Randy Cox and Pastor David Deen officiating. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery
