Joy" Joyce Lynn Scott, 77, of Clendenin went home to be with the Lord Friday September 30, 2022 at Clarks Christian Care, East Bank, WV after a long illness.
She was the daughter of the late Charles Sinnett Lipscomb and Vazy Marie Simmons Lipscomb. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Gary Lipscomb.
Joy was a member of Thorofare Community Church where she served as treasurer. She was also a member of Thelma Chapter 24 Eastern Star.
She is survived by: husband, Wayne F. Scott; daughter, Lynn M. Martin (Mark); grandson, Tyler W. Martin (Jessey); granddaughter, Olivia P. Martin; great granddaughter, Emersyn G. Martin; brothers, Bob Lipscomb (Shelva), Dick Lipscomb (Verna), and Steve Lipscomb (Rosalie), and numerous nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM Monday October 3, 2022 at Matics Funeral Home Inc. Clendenin. The funeral will immediately follow at 1 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Claude Holley Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Clendenin Memorial Gardens Clendenin. Online condolences may be expressed at maticsfuneralhome.com.
