Eddie Belle McMeans McCormick Carter, 94, of Robstown, Texas passed away on October 21, 2016. She was born September 3, 1922 in Martindale, Texas to Clarence Dickson and Elvarena Mosely McCain McMeans. Eddie Belle graduated from Banquete High School in 1941. She worked many years for Nueces Electric Coop and volunteered at Riverside Hospital and Robstown voting polls. While living in Robstown she was a member of First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carson McCormick, killed in WWII, and second husband, Eddy Carter; her parents; brothers, Lee, Clyde, Oda, Clarence and sisters, Ella Mae Schroeder, Marie Davis and Elvarena Powell.

She is survived by her daughters, Gloria McCormick Campbell (Bob), Ruth McCormick Wills and Patsy Carter Gasper (Glenn); her brother, Edward McMeans (Charlotte); grandchildren, Greg Wills, Glen Wills (Cindy), Troy Northcutt (Ann), Tammy Northcutt Moore (Jay), Travis Duncan, Eric Gasper and eleven great grandchildren. Eddie Belle considered her niece, Kathy Herrmann (D.W.) a fourth daughter. Mom was always available with helping hands for her family and many friends.

Visitation will be from 1 P.M. until 2 P.M. with the funeral services at 2 P. M. Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Cash officiating. The family will have a private burial afterwards.
