Art C. Pierce, 77, of Bonner Springs, KS passed away on Fri., Oct. 28, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. Friends may call at his visitation from 6 to 8 pm, Tue., Nov. 1, at the Alden – Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS. Graveside funeral services will be at 11 am, Wed., Nov. 2, at the Glenwood Cemetery near Basehor, KS. Art was born on Feb. 14, 1939 in Kansas City, KS and has been a long time area resident. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and had served 4 years in the 82nd Army Airborne. He had worked at Roll-Easy Door Co. in K.C., MO for over 20 years. Art loved spending time with his family, Horseback riding and watching Nascar. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother and best friend John, his boy David and two nieces Joyce and Judy. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Carol, his son Ben (Cheryl), two daughters Jackie and Wendy (Jarett), One brother JR, four sisters Mary, Shirley, Betty and Fran. Six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren., and extended Pierce family Ruth, Johnny, Carol-Jean, Mary, Cinda, Linda and Paula. And a close family friend Cindi.
