Frank W. Snell, 86, of Westport, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Narda L. (Miko) Snell, they were married for 52 years.

Mr. Snell was born in Fall River, son of the late Frank H. and Edna S. (Cory) Snell and had been a lifelong resident of Tiverton prior to moving to Westport. He was a graduate of The United States Merchant Marine Academy, Class of 1951 and was a Master of steam or motor vessels of any gross tons upon the ocean. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he served his country in the U.S. Navy as head of the navigation department and was the navigation officer of the USS Regulus, AF-57 in the Western Pacific. He worked in all deck capacities from deck cadet to permanent master. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by United States Lines, Inc. of One Broadway, NY, NY for 37 years. He was a member of the Amicable Congregational Church, Tiverton.

He was the brother of the late Barbara Neale.
