Sheila Rae Dahlin Lane, 64, widow of Gene Franklin Lane, passed away Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, after a long battle with kidney cancer.

Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29, St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 504 Bedford-Euless Rd. W., Hurst. Interment: 3 p.m. in Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery.

Memorials: Should friends desire, memorials may be made to St. Andrew Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Lane was born April 2, 1942, in Moose Lake, Minn. She received her bachelor's degree from Gustavus Adolphus College and her master's from Texas Woman's University. Sheila was a special education teacher for 35 years in the Birdville Independent School District. She was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church and Theta Theta.

Survivors: Daughter, Angela Simmons and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Jordan Elizabeth, Noah Lane, Rose Mae and Zacchaeus Michael Simmons; mother, Mae Dahlin, Moose Lake, Minn.; sister, Mona Ruha, Brooklyn Park, Minn.; and nieces, Robin, Tammy and Heidi.
