OBITUARY:

'Geno' joined the angels on Sunday, January 16th, 2005. Born June 1st, 1920, in Bowman, N.D., his family made their way to Eugene, Oregon.

Attending the University High School in Eugene, he played prep football as a running back and was a member of the varsity tennis team.

Opportunity took the family to California, where he worked before being drafted. Eugene was inducted into the Army in 1941 and served in the South Sea being decorated for his nearly four years of Asiatic-Pacific service.

Leaving the Army in 1945 he returned to Portland, Oregon. Here he met his wife Barbara and they later married in 1946. They worked together at Montgomery Wards until the fall of 1947 and shortly after moved to the Tri-Cities.

He joined the Laborer's Local 348 where he achieved a life-time membership of 50 years. During his years in the construction trade he helped build the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Pasco where he sent his four children Patrick, Barbara, Steven and Anita.

His favorite family activities were swimming at the local parks and trips to the beach. Geno was an avid bowler and known for his left hand looping hook to the pocket!

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his four children; brother Don; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Steven, Rachel, Jonathan, Derrick and Kyle; and two great-grandchildren, Samantha and Jacob. He will be remembered for his hearty work ethic in the construction trade.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2005. Rosary at 6 p.m. Funeral will be Thursday. All to be held at Mueller's Greenlee Funeral Home, Pasco.
