He lived most of his life in Springfield and graduated from Lanphier High School in 1947.
After serving in the United States Navy for six years he went into construction. His most memorable builds include the Sears Tower in Chicago, Illinois as well as the Saudi Arabian and Alaskan Pipelines. After retiring he became a long -distance semi driver receiving an award for driving over 1 million miles without an accident.
He was a Master Mason for over fifty years.
