Born January 16, 1975 in Peoria to Rodney and Peggy (Pieper) Brown, she married Jon Morrissey on October 7, 2006. He survives.
Also surviving are her mother, Peggy (Kenneth) Wagler of Washington; maternal grandmother, Edith Brown of East Peoria; daughter, Olivia Morrissey of Springfield; her niece and nephew, Alyson and Connor Morrissey, whom she took in and was helping raise; two sisters, Lori (Vince) Crook of Creve Coeur and Teresa (William) Blackburn of Cincinnati, Ohio; one brother, Brian (Candice) Wagler of Warrensburg, Missouri; and her nieces and nephews, Billy and Taylor Blackburn, Dalton and Dane Wagler and Jessica Crook.
She was preceded in death by her father; maternal grandparents; paternal grandfather; brother-in-law, Justin Morrissey; sister-in-law, Kimberly Morrissey.
Lisa earned her Bachelor of Science degree from OSF St. Francis School of Nursing in Peoria. She went on to earn her Master of Science degree in Nursing from University of Illinois in Chicago. She also was a qualified Nurse Practitioner and Midwife.
She was currently a homemaker, and loved taking care of and spending time with her family.
She loved to scrapbook and was an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan.
Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Highview Church of God, 2442 Centennial Drive in Washington. The Rev. Brent Farmer will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Burial will be at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.
Memorial contributions may be given to an education fund for her children in c/o her husband, Jon Morrissey.
