Charlotte Jane Anderson Ingle, born in Marshalltown, IA, on November 28, 1921, to Charles L. and Katherine P. Anderson, was older by a few minutes than her fraternal twin, Charles.

In May 1922, Charlotte, along with several siblings and their mother, traveled by train to Rock Springs, WY. Their father met the family there and took them to their family farm in Eden, WY, via snow sled. The sled was equipped with a heating stove and quilts to keep them warm for the 40-mile journey.

Charlotte attended first grade at the old Wellington Wash House; then when the school was built at Eden, she attended there. She graduated high school in 1940 from Eden-Farson High School located in Farson, WY. Charlotte moved to Salt Lake City, UT, and attended Henager's Business School. Upon graduation from Henager's, she worked 4-1/2 years in the Purchasing Department for Eimco Corp. who made mine car loaders, sewage treatment systems, and was contracted to make part of the atomic bomb.

November 10, 1941, Charlotte married Sargeant Leonard James Ingle and continued to work at Eimco Corp. until Leonard's return from active duty in World War II. The couple remained in Salt Lake City for two years, then purchased the A.H. Pierce farm in Eden, WY. Three children, Sandra K. Jones, Leonard C. Ingle, and Cherie (Cherlyn) B. Shepherd, were born to the couple.

In 1966, the family moved to Grand Junction, CO, where, before retiring in 1987, Charlotte was employed for two years at Head Start, and then spent 20 years at St. Mary's Hospital as a ward secretary.

Charlotte resided in Grand Junction for forty five years, until after a fall resulting in a broken femur and spending time in Larchwood Rehabilitation, she and her son, Leonard, went to live with Cherie in Buckeye, AZ. After falling and breaking her right arm, Charlotte went to live with her grandson, Travis Shepherd, and his family. She resided there until her death on October 28, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard J. Ingle; siblings Genevieve Grandy of McCall, ID; Harold Anderson of Rock Springs, WY; Cathryne Wood of Rock Springs, WY; twin brother Charles Anderson of Grand Junction, CO; Martha June Wolf of Bath, MI; and Margaret Beth Anderson of Grand Jumction, CO.

Charlotte will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Veteran's Cemetery in Grand Junction, CO.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Pear Park Baptist Church in Clifton, CO.
