Peggy Joyce McDaniel went to meet her heavenly father on December 6, 2014 in Austin, Texas. She was born on May 9, 1942 in Italy, Texas. Her parents were Uel Brown and Edith Hearron Brown. Peggy and Johnnie R. McDaniel were married in Italy, Texas on June 9, 1962.
Peggy graduated from Italy High school in 1960. Her first job was with the Republic National Bank in Dallas, Texas. Peggy and Johnnie moved from Dallas to Houston then to San Antonio and finally to Austin where she had several clerical jobs. Her last job was with the Employees Retirement System of the State of Texas, where she retired in 2002.
Peggy was a member of the Northwest Baptist Church, where she was active with the children and youth group when her boys were younger. She remained active in the Preschool Department for several years. In her later years she was active in the Faith Department Sunday School Class.

She is survived by her husband Johnnie of 52 years, her sons Joel Edwin McDaniel and Craig McDaniel, her brother Edwin Brown and her sister Nyla Denbow.

We would like to thank the friends and members of the Northwest Baptist Church for their love and care for Peggy, especially the Faith Department Sunday School Class.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o'clock until eight o'clock in the evening, on Tuesday, the 9th of December 2014, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.

Funeral services will be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, the 10th of December 2014, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. Interment will follow in Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, Pflugerville, Texas.
