Rosetta Clark Brown, 93 years of age, of Concord, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Brookdale Concord South in Concord.
Rosetta was born May 28, 1923 in North Carolina to the late Issac Clark and the late Alice Curry Clark. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Shirley Franklin Brown and one grandson, Phillip Brown.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm, Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will begin 3:00 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Randy Ardis . Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
Survivors include daughters, Martha and husband, Johnny Furr of Kannapolis and Loree and husband, John Miller of Waxhaw; sons, Frank and wife, Belinda Brown of Rockwell and George and wife Fran Brown of Harrisburg; sister, Estelle Blankenship of Hiddenite, NC; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Rosetta, lovingly known as "Dody", was a lifelong member of Bible Presbyterian Church and a faithful servant to our Lord. She worked at Kayser-Roth Hosiery Mill and retired from Wolf Meadow Elementary School. Dody had a love of all things baking, gardening, sewing and quilting. Christmas was her favorite time of year. While Shirley was the love of her life, her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her heart.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of Rosetta's loving caregivers at Brookdale South Concord and Hospice of Cabarrus County.
