She married Virgil Ellis on January 26, 1952 in Merkel.
Tommie worked for Paymaster Feed for many years. She and Virgil ran cattle for a several in their retirement. Tommie was known as “The Cookbook Lady’ in May for her large collection of cookbooks.
Tommie is survived by her three children, Dubbs Ellis of Palestine, Butch Ellis of May and Debra Gordon and husband John of Lepanto, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Jefferey Brooks, Leigh Ann Young, Rebecca Ellis, Chris Ellis, Chad Ellis and Kenneth Ellis and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 63 years, Virgil Ellis in 2015.
