Charlene "Nan" Irvin, 82, of Lake Placid, passed away Monday, January 14, 2008, in the Florida Hospital in Lake Placid. Nan was born November 17, 1925, to Ms. Lida (Cooper) and Charles Marshall in Valparaiso, Ind. She married Raymond Irvin May 30, 1944. Nan was the Irvin Auto Electric Service bookkeeper and secretary treasurer of GI Enterprises. Nan moved to Lake Placid in 1977 from Valparaiso and became a Reach Recovery Volunteer for the Cancer Society while health permitted. Nan was a Baptist in her faith. Nan is survived by her children, Charlene R. Irvin of Lake Placid, and John of Tulsa, Okla.; and sister, Gail E. Marshall of Kouts, Ind. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; both parents; brothers, John and Daniel; sister, Grace Good; and nephews, Dennis Marshall and Daniel Atkinson. Visitation for Nan will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, January 19, 2008, from the Michael A. Brochetti Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 11 a.m., with Rev. Tim Williams celebrating. Following her service, Nan will be transported to Ind. to be interred beside her husband, Raymond in the Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso.
