Elizabeth Violet "Sis" Hulse, 81, of 30 Park Ave., Afton, formerly of Walton, passed away Monday, May 7, 2007 in Binghamton, NY.

She was born on October 28, 1925 in Walton, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ada (Beagle) Dow. On September 3, 1941 she married Harland Hulse. He predeceased her on December 12, 1990.

Sis was a machine operator, employed by Bendix in Sidney and a cook at the Roundup Ranch, Downsville. Elizabeth enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening and flying to Florida and California every year to visit friends and family. She was a member of the Jehovah Witness, Sidney.

Elizabeth is survived by three daughters: Helen Mitchell of California, Janice Allen of Binghamton , and Elizabeth Sanchez of Florida; grandchildren: Christopher LaFever, Albert (Candy) Nichols, Maureen (Christopher) App, Dennis Nichols, John Mitchell, Vera (Ike) Wagner, Verna Landon, Jeffrey Nichols, Lorie (Richard) Judd and Chelsea Mitchell; great-grandchildren: Gretchen, Krystal, Christopher, Joshua (Amanda), Nicole, Victoria, Marissa, Krystal, Michael, Chantelle, Savanah and Jessica; great-great grandson, Edwin; two sisters: Esther Wilson of Masonville and Gertrude Witherow of Walton. Also surviving is a son-in-law, Albert Nichols and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son-in-law Andrew LaFever and two brothers-in-law, Richard Wilson and Charles Witherow.

Friends and family are invited to call on Friday evening May 11, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton, where services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Walton Cemetery.
