He was preceded in death by three grandchildren; parents, Alva and Elizabeth Bailey, Sr.; brothers, Velvie, Alva, Jr., and Roger Dale Bailey; and sister, Lou Byram. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, three daughters, son, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, brother, three sisters, brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.
