GERALD EDGAR MURRAY was born in Pendleton, Oregon on January 8, 1933 to Edgar L. Murray and Irma Barnes Murray. Gerald was the oldest of four children.
Gerald went to school on the Umatilla Reservation and Pendleton schools going as far as the 8th grade.
When he was 20 years old he joined the Air Force in 1953 and then was given an honorable discharge.
Gerald eventually moved to California where he worked at various jobs. He moved back to Oregon eventually moving to Hermiston where he worked at Marlette, Lamb Weston and Gourmet Foods. While he was working at Gourmet he met his soulmate and together they moved to Burbank, Washington. He went to work for IBP, now Tyson, in 1979 and retired in 1994.
In December, Gerald and Kris got married and had 36, almost 37, years together.
Gerald also attended Word of Faith in Christ Bible School, graduating in 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Kris Langlo Murray; his children Timothy of Hermiston, Terry of Kennewick, Kelli Maret (Connie) of Hermiston, Jason of Hermiston, Tom (Jan), Ben and Haley; sister Phyllis; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gerald is also survived by his four fur babies Harriett, Uno, Girlie and Bear.
He is preceded in death by his mom Irma, dad Edgar, brother William, sister Verla Hickock, son William, granddaughter Sierra Murray and first wife Donna Murray. Funeral services will be Friday, October 28, 2016, at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union Street, Kennewick with a graveside following at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
