Ruby Adams Warren, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016. She was 96.
Mrs. Warren was born in Carroll County on August 26, 1920, to the late Edgar and Barbara Adams. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Roy Adams, Garland Adams, Ralph Adams, and Paul Adams; and a sister, Nell Dukes. She is survived by her siblings, Fred Adams, Edna Kennimer, Avis Spence, and Clifford Adams.
She was married for 59 years to the late and beloved Winton L. Warren who preceded her in death in 2001. This union was blessed with three surviving children, Carol Williams (Tom), Helen Malone (Tommy), and Victor Warren (Robin); seven grandchildren, Melanie McLendon, Tommy Williams, Russell Lively, Olivia Dennison, Justin Lively, Elizabeth Warren, and Amelia Warren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Haralson County. Prior to the services, Mrs. Warren’s body will lie-in-state at the church from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour to allow people to pay their respects to a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 27, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may make donations in Mrs. Warren’s memory to Antioch Baptist Church (1055 Old Highway 100, Waco, Georgia 30182).
