Mrs. Owens was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late Kemper and Lillie Hutchinson Calcutt. She was retired as a Quality Control Lab Technician for Tupperware Mfg. Co. and was a member of Poplar Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Ray McAlister; a son Steven Anthony McAlister; 3 brothers, Carl; Kenneth and Steve Calcutt; sister, Nancy Cannon.
