Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 31, 2016 at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Watertown with Reverend Paul Janke officiating.
Visitation will be from 2-4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown.
Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown.
Urn Bearers will be Mark Beutow, Dan Beutow and James Beutow.
Honorary Urn Bearers will be Roger’s co-workers at Terex.
Roger Allen Hanson, son of Henry and Ruby (Borns) Hanson, was born February 6, 1954 in Watertown, South Dakota. He grew up in Watertown and graduated from Watertown High School in 1972. After graduating, he moved to Kit Carson, Colorado where he met Debra Kay Lind. Roger and Debra were married on May 28, 1983 in Watertown. The couple had two children, Ashley and Ian. Roger was employed at Terex Utilities for over 30 years.
Roger was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church.
He had enjoyed the outdoors and loved animals.
Roger is survived by his son, Ian Hanson of Denver, CO; his granddaughter, Quinndalyn Hanson.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ashley Hanson; his parents; and Debra.
