Sandra J. “Sandy” Kindt 75 of St. Hwy. #30A passed away peacefully on Monday October 24th with her family beside her.

Sandy was born July 9, 1941 in Schenectady, NY a daughter of Charles and Irene (Eldridge) Geier and graduated from Schalmont High School in 1959. She began her working career with NY Telephone as an information operator until devoting herself to raising a family. Sandy was active in her community and was a member of the Esperance Fire Department Rescue Squad serving as and EMT. She was also a charter member of BPO Elks Lodge #2507 Auxiliary and was an active member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church in Central Bridge. She also enjoyed playing golf and was a past member of Hales Mills Country Club in Gloversville. Known as the “tanning goddess”, Sandy also bowled in leagues at the Cobleskill Lanes.

Survivors include her husband, Harry J. “Bud” Kindt, Sr. whom she married March 5, 1960, two daughters; Michelle “Micki” Kindt (Rick Jones) of Esperance, Patricia (Michael) Myers of Glen, 3 grandchildren; Michael C. Kindt, Sr., Tyler J. Myers, and Kevin W. Myers, 1 great-grandson Michael C. Kindt, Jr., 2 Sisters; Charlene Wendell of Schenectady and Marcia Allen of Panama City, FL along with several nieces and nephews.

Sandy was predeceased by her son Harry J. Kindt, Jr. in 1998.

Burial will follow in the Sloansville Valley Cemetery.
