Dolores Knox, age 94, a resident of River's Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, died late Sunday evening, October 23, 2016 at the center.

Dolores was born on July 9, 1922 in Eaton, WI, daughter of the late Edward and Alvina (Stahl) Neumeyer Sr. She was a graduate of Valders High School with the class of 1940. On April 27, 1946 she married Richard John Knox at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. He preceded her in death on July 2, 1997. Dolores was employed with various companies in the Manitowoc area, including running a store in Spring Valley with her husband and family. She was a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul and was a member of the Gold Star Mothers and the Red Hatters.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Maripat Lorelli and Monte Lavner, New York, NY, Ann and Paolo DeFrancisci, Diana, FL; seven sons and two daughters-in-law: Richard T. Knox, Manitowoc, Robert Knox, Manitowoc, Thomas Knox and his fiancee Kathy Jurk, Manitowoc, Gerald and Debra Knox, Manitowoc, Joseph Knox, Milwaukee, William Knox, Manitowoc, Patrick and Cynthia Knox, Manitowoc; 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; one sister and two brothers-in-law: Bernadine and Wayne Breckheimer, Kiel, Allen Fenlon, Valders; five sisters-in-law: Marilyn Neumeyer, Manitowoc, Agnes Neumeyer, St. Nazianz, Ann Neumeyer, De Pere, Elaine Neumeyer, Green Bay, and Bonnie Neumeyer, Shawno. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by one son: James Knox; one son-in-law: James Lorelli; one daughter-in-law: Patricia Knox; one grandson: Robert Knox Jr.; one sister and brother-in-law; and seven brothers and three sisters-in-law.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand (1416 Grand Ave), Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Beaudry with burial to follow at St. Isidore Cemetery, Osman.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Dolores' name.
