Dolores Joan Swanson age 85 of Riverton died on October 22, 2016 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. She was born on December 4, 1930 in Colton, South Dakota to Chancy and Myrtle (Valland) Morey. Dolores was a retired employee of Unisys with twenty-five years of service. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Crosby and the Myrin-James American Legion Auxiliary of Ironton and was a past member of the Twin Cities Catholic Chorale.
Dolores is survived by three sons, Anton Wettstein of Shoreview; Robert (Mary Jo) Swanson of Aurora, CO and Richard (Cheryl) Swanson of Trommald; two daughters, Mary Wettstein of White Bear Lake and Carolyn (Bruce) Temte of Bloomington; four sisters, Kay Wolner of San Diego, CA, Ruth Morey of Aberdeen, SD, Helen Munger of Aberdeen, SD and Verna Thurston of Rochester; seventeen grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren.
Preceding Dolores in death are her parents; 1st husband, Anton Wettstein Sr., and 2nd husband Russell Swanson; one son, Russell Swanson Jr.; three brothers, Kenneth Morey and infants Donn and Ronald Morey.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Crosby. Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
