Flossie Amelia Smith, 90, died Friday, April 1, 2005, at the Long View Nursing Home. She was the wife of Howard Stanley Smith who predeceased her in 1977. Born Aug. 2, 1914, in Gamber, Md., she was the daughter of the late George Hershel and Della A. Arnold Miller. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker. She was a member of the Westminster Moose Lodge 1381 and a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Gamber, Md. She is survived by children, Ruth Irene Robertson of Westminster, Md., Howard Smith, Jr. of Westminster, Md., Yvonne Brown of Woodbine, Md., Delphine Gessell of Union Bridge, Md., Kenneth Smith of Westminster, Md., and Russell Smith of Smallwood, Md.; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Donald Miller; a daughter, Nancy Linton; and siblings, Decatur Miller, Ethel Day, Ralph Miller and Glen Miller. Funeral services will be held at the Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, Md., Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Gerald Stone officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Flossie's memory to Calvary United Methodist Church, 3939 Gamber Road, Gamber, MD 21048.
