Robert's grandson says he is buried in this cemetery and his grave is NOT unmarked.
Was married to Dollie Rusk and had at least 3 children with her. He left her in about 1919 and we are trying to find out what happened to him after that. His grandson says he came to Dollie's funeral in 1959 but no one knew he was there until afterwards.
He also went by the nickname "B.B.".
UPDATE: A volunteer has consulted cemetery books for all of Calhoun County, and has photographed every known marker in this cemetery and states Robert Abernathy does not appear anywhere. I am doing more research to find out if perhaps his grave is unmarked or if he is buried elsewhere.
