Kevin Brett Starr, 43, went to be with our Lord on December 25, 2006 with his family by his side. He fought a valiant battle with throat and neck cancer.
Kevin was born on July 2, 1963 in Alice, Texas. He graduated from Alice High School and attended tech school in Waco, Texas. He was active in the youth rodeo, 4-H and FFA during his youth and had a great love for the outdoors throughout his life.
Kevin is survived by his beloved daughter, Ashley (Eric) Estrada of Alice, Texas; two grandchildren, Ayden and Ava Estrada; his loving parents, Jerry and Virginia K. Starr of Alice, Texas; his sister, who was his caregiver, Khea Starr of Alice, Texas; and his brother, Brent (Velma Jo) Starr of Alice, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Marshall and Eula Lee Starr and maternal grandparents Grafton and Rosalind Baker.
Visitation was held on December 27 and 28, 2006 at Holmgreen Mortuary, Alice, TX. Funeral services was
conducted by Rev. Ross Dudney at the First Baptist Church in Alice, Texas on December 28, 2006.
Pallbearers will be Alvin Streadl, Travis Vollmering, Dale Risinger, Mike Varelans, Willie McCollum and Mike Wise. Honorary pallbearers are his nieces and nephews by whom he was loved dearly, Avery Lykins, Coree Lykins, Jeryd Lykins, Hayley Jo Starr and Blake Starr.
